Meet Dr. Sherif Elhady

Making people smile is the best profession in the world. To be a part of the process and help guide each patient along the path is empowering, challenging, exciting, and gratifying. Working with people is what life is all about.

Straight teeth to me is just one aspect of orthodontics; the smile of a patient when we unveil their new smile is really the realization you have brought some happiness to someone's life. I love helping people on their journey to realizing that they have a beautiful smile just waiting to be created.

My team and I love our patients because we love everything about them that makes them unique. From all walks of life, each person comes to the orthodontic process with a unique set of circumstances and needs that we strive to cater to.

Over the past decade, I’ve stayed up to date with all the latest orthodontic techniques through continuing education. CE through the Northern Virginia Orthodontic Study Club allows me to give my patients the very best that orthodontics has available today. Also my involvement with the Pankey Study Club gives me valuable insight into the most advanced techniques in general dentistry to allow coordination of care with your general dentist.

Outside the Office

I grew up in Tabb, Virginia, and have lived in Fairfax for the past 20 years. My wife Merehan and I have two sons, Zakariah and Zain. I enjoy staying active in my free time; some of my favorite activities include hiking, biking, scuba diving, and playing soccer and basketball. I also enjoy watercolor painting and reading a good book.

I am involved in my community as well, as a mentor for local youth in high school, sponsor orthodontic interns at the office, and volunteer at Mission of Mercy, Give Kids a Smile, and a local homeless shelter.
